That means more carrier availability, faster pickups, and more competitive pricing - especially for routes like New York to Florida where carriers know they'll get a return load.
New York sits at the top of the I-95 corridor - the busiest auto transport lane in the country. Carriers running between Florida and New England pass through NY constantly. More trucks = faster pickups and better rates.
New York isn't a route we 'can' do - it's a route we run constantly. Multiple departures per week means we can usually match your timeline. Most NY pickups happen within 24-72 hours.
Manhattan delivery requires experience. We know the commercial vehicle restrictions, alternate-side parking rules, and the best times to deliver. If needed, we arrange terminal pickup in NJ or Queens for seamless handoff.
Every fall, thousands of New Yorkers ship their cars to Florida. Every spring, they come back. We handle this route so frequently that we can get you competitive rates even during peak season - but book 1-2 weeks ahead.

October through March, the New York to Florida route is one of the busiest in the country. We run it constantly.
Fair warning: Prices increase and spots fill fast during peak snowbird season. If you know your dates, book 1-2 weeks ahead to lock in availability.

GMF Auto Transport LLC is a federally licensed broker (MC-1675078, USDOT 4301133). We don't own trucks — we dispatch loads to vetted motor carriers. New York is one of the highest-volume origin and destination markets in the country, which works in the customer's favor on most lanes because carrier supply is thick.
Most NY pickups happen out of New York City (Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens), Long Island, Westchester, the Hudson Valley, Albany, Buffalo, and Rochester. NYC pickups almost always require a meet-up at a wider street or parking lot — a 75-foot car carrier can't realistically position on most Manhattan or Brooklyn streets, and many Long Island neighborhoods have low-clearance trees or narrow turns. That's standard for the metro, not a downgrade in service. Upstate pickups (Albany, Buffalo, Rochester) are easier on access but the carrier search takes longer because supply is thinner the farther you get from the I-95 corridor.
NY → FL is the heaviest lane in the network and prices in the $825-$1,150 range outside of snowbird peaks. NY → TX runs $950-$1,350 over 4-6 days. NY → CA is cross-country at $1,150-$1,750 over 6-9 days. Wider pickup windows on these longer lanes consistently beat premium rates for carrier matching.
Snowbird volume on this lane peaks in October and November southbound, and again in March through May northbound. Both directions trade $100-$200 in price for a 1-2 week earlier or later pickup window. If your dates are flexible, peak-season prices look like off-season prices because carriers will skip a $100 surcharge for a load that fits their route better. If your dates are fixed, expect to pay the seasonal premium — that's the carrier market, not a broker markup.
We don't guarantee pickup or delivery dates. We don't promise “NYC same-day pickup” because the carrier's schedule isn't ours to control, and we don't lowball the quote to win the booking. A price the carrier market won't accept sits on the dispatch board while everyone else's vehicle moves. The honest version: a number that reflects what carriers are running the lane for that week, dispatched to a carrier with active FMCSA authority and verified cargo insurance.
