Get Your Exact PriceFlorida is the #2 auto transport destination in America, behind only California. The I-95 corridor from the Northeast to Florida is the single busiest lane in the industry.
What does that mean for you? More carriers competing for your load, faster pickups, and better rates. Carriers love Florida because they know they'll find a return load heading north - which keeps the whole system efficient.
Florida is the southern terminus of I-95, the busiest auto transport corridor in the country. Every carrier running the East Coast comes here. More trucks = faster pickups, better rates, and reliable scheduling.
The Northeast to Florida corridor is our bread and butter. We dispatch multiple trucks per week year-round. During snowbird season, we run even more. Most Florida pickups happen within 24-72 hours.
October to April, we move hundreds of vehicles between the Northeast and Florida. We understand the timing - when you need your car there for winter, when you need it back for summer. We've done this for years.
Florida is the #2 auto transport destination in America. High demand means carriers compete for loads, which keeps your rates competitive. Even during peak season, we can usually beat the market.

Every fall, we help hundreds of customers ship their cars from the Northeast to Florida. Every spring, we bring them back.
Peak season tip: October-November (heading south) and March-April (heading north) book up fast. If you know your dates, reserve your spot 1-2 weeks ahead.

GMF Auto Transport LLC is a federally licensed broker (MC-1675078, USDOT 4301133). We don't own trucks — we dispatch loads to vetted motor carriers and stay on the file from booking through delivery. Florida is the highest-volume corridor in our network, mostly because of seasonal snowbird demand from the Northeast and steady year-round flow from the West Coast.
Northbound from Florida (FL → CT, NY, NJ, MA) prices on the higher end of the range from late March through May. Carriers raise rates because demand is concentrated and they have their pick of loads. Southbound (CT, NY → FL) does the same in October and November. Off- season, the same lanes run $100-$200 lower. Specifically: FL → CT runs $725-$1,075 in normal weeks and $850-$1,200 in peak weeks. The route page price ranges on this site reflect averages across the year — at booking we'll quote what the lane is actually running that week, not a marketing midpoint.
Florida to Texas prices in the $700-$1,075 range with a 2-4 day transit window. Florida to California is true cross-country at $1,150-$1,650 over 6-9 days. Both lanes have consistent year-round carrier supply because they're not snowbird-driven.
Most FL pickups happen out of Miami, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, Orlando, Tampa, Jacksonville, Naples, or Sarasota. Gated communities and HOA-controlled streets are the most common access challenge. Many south Florida communities don't allow large car carriers past the gate; the driver coordinates a meet-up at a nearby plaza or wider street. That's standard practice and it doesn't cost extra. The Panhandle (Pensacola, Tallahassee) and the Florida Keys add carrier search time because the carrier supply is thinner there — flexible pickup windows help more than premium rates do.
We don't guarantee pickup or delivery dates. Federal hours-of-service rules, weather (especially hurricane season July through October), and carrier route changes mean those numbers move. We don't promise “same-day pickup” or “guaranteed delivery” — those are industry sales lines that brokers can't deliver on because the carrier's schedule isn't ours to control. We won't lowball the quote either: a price that no carrier will accept sits on the dispatch board until someone calls back asking for $200 more, and that's not a process worth your time.
What you get instead: a price the carrier market will actually run, a vetted carrier with active FMCSA authority and current cargo insurance, and (203) 312-1197 as a single point of contact from booking through delivery.
